Classical Boa-mask with oval eyes, large mouth and ring shaped ears. This type of mask is used war-mask worn by a witch doctor in front of the troops to frighten the enemy and put them to flight. After the pacification of the area, this mask was used to discipline children as a kind of bogeyman.
The wooden mask is in good condition with traces of tribal use which gives the mask a beautiful aged patina.
