Wonderful Mangebetu ancestor figure made from terracotta. This ceramic is an example of Mangbetu court art in which the human figure is used to adorn an everyday object.
The figure has a typical high fan-shaped hairstyle and its face is adorned with tattoos, the ideal of MANGBETU beauty. Good condition with traces of wear and tear. The left foot is damaged.
