Ritual ancestor figure made from bone of the Lega tribe of DR Congo. The bottom part is ending in a phallus, a symbole of fertility. These kind of figures were used during initiation ceremonies. Good condition with a wonderful aged patina.
Provenance: former private collection from the Netherlands. Custom made stand is included in this lot!
