Ancestor Figure – Wood – Asante – Ghana

Interesting standing figure from the Asante tribe of Ghana. Wooden ancestor figures were found in shrines or as part of popular drum ensembles among the Fante / Asante known as Ntan or Ompe. The figure is in good condition with a powerful appearance.
