Impressive male ancestor figure of the KUSU tribe from D.R. Congo.
Kusu figures have the same kind of appearance as their Luba and Hemba counterparts. Typically with Kusu, however, the beard and conical top is meant to hold a magical charge to give the figure its power. The serene expression of the face and fine beard are characteristic of Kusu sculpture of standing male ancestors.
The stylish figure has a clear powerful appearance. Nice old aged patina
Contains clear traces of wear and tear, in fair condition. The figure can`t stand on it`s own.
