Stylistic wooden male ancestor figure from the Luba people of DR Congo.  The figure has a fine face expression. This serene Luba figure epitomizes the art and mystery that carvers from this tribe have imbued in their sculpture. They quiet power of the figure elicits the respect that the tribe owed to their ancestors. Good condition with a wonderful aged patina.
