The figure has a typical high fan-shaped hairstyle, the ideal of MANGBETU beauty. Mangbetu art is famous for it`s realism, is a court art objects were displayed in the king`s presence as prestige paraphernalia.
The figure is in good condition with traces of wear and tear and a good patina. Provenance: former private German collection.
