Wooden ancestor figure from the Ngbaka people of DR Congo. Typical large round shaped head.The artistic style of their statues and masks, is recognizable through their elongated features, a line of vertical scarification on the forehead.
Good condition with a beautiful shiny patina of age.

Provenance: former private collection from the Netherlands. Including custom made stand.
