Animal Mask – Wood – Luba – DR Congo

Luba animal mask in the form of an antelope of DR Congo. Luba masks are rare and are primarily found in the eastern Luba kingdoms. dome masks are very similar to the Kifwebe mask used by the Songye, although they display more rounded features.

Good condition with the entire face covered in patterns of geometric grooves that are uniquely characteristic of these masks.
