Buffalo mask – Wood – Baule – Ivory Coast

Old buffalo mask, from the BAULE people of Ivory Coast. Mblo masks were used during ritual dances and are one of the oldest forms of BAULE art.
The mask is carved in one piece of wood.
Good condition with traces of wear and tear.
