Wonderful wooden Fang Byeri figure decorated with copper strips from Gabon. Unusual and rare tribal figure in good condition and great patina of age.

Fang Byeri figures are usually characterized as a seated male figure. He has bent legs and an elongated torso, The Fang occupy such a large geographical area that numerous sub-styles have emerged. There are, however, two main stylistic groups – the northern and the southern. Northern Fang figures usually have elongated features and are often adorned with copper strips.
