Dance mask – Wood – Baule – Ivory Coast

Authentic dance mask, from the BAULE people of Ivory Coast.
This superb mask is carved in one piece of wood.
The item present a very fine shape, with scarification’s on the face, and a superb hairstyle.
Great dark painted patina, with shades of colors. Good condition with a nice aged patina with traces of wear and tear. The inside part of the mask is professionally restored in the past.
