Superb dance mask, from the BAULE people of Ivory Coast.
The mask is carved in one piece of wood.
The item present a very fine shape, with scarification’s on the face, and a superb hairstyle.
Great dark painted patina, with shades of colors. Good condition with a nice aged patina with traces of wear and tear.
Provenance: Manfred Schäfer, former gallery owner from Ulm, Germany. Including custom made stand.
