Beautiful double wooden gong from the Kota tribe of Gabon.
Gongs or bells fall into the category of idiophones by striking.
Instruments whose sound is produced by the percussion of a material by a distinct element, mallet, stick, clapper…, free or attached.
In this type of idiophone, only the struck part is therefore producing sound.
Good condition with traces of wear and tear. The Gong stands unstable on it`s own.
