Goli Mask – Wood – Baule – Ivory Coast

Stylistic wooden Goli mask from the BAULE people from Ivory Coast.
The GOLI festivities date back to around 1900 and are held to celebrate new crops, the visit of dignitaries or periods of mourning. This mask is called a Bonu Amwin mask. The mask in round shape represents a highly stylized face beneath a pair of horns. Coloful mask with the use of orange black and white colors. Good condition with slight traces of wear and tear.
