Beautiful bronze  hairpin from the Dogon tribe of Mali. Dogon bronze hair pins were primarily used as utilitarian hair accessories to secure elaborate, braided hairstyles and wigs. Beyond their functional use, they served as powerful symbols of status, spiritual protection, and ancestral honor within Dogon society in Mali
