Albino figure, Ibeji – Wood, Bell – Yoruba – Nigeria

Rare Ibeji twin albino figure of the YORUBA tribe of Nigeria. One of the most famous Yoruba Ibeji woodcarvings is the figures that represent deceased twins. According to Yoruba faith, they affect the daily lives of family members so they were honored with libations and prayers.
Warm expression, decorated with glass beads. The figure hass a light wooden patina of age, good condition.
