Typical Kidumu mask from the Teke community.
This kind of masks were used in important meetings, at funerals of chiefs and during wedding ceremonies. The mask consists of abstract geometric figures, representing an abstract human face. Beautifully cut. The mask was worn on the forehead, the wearer looked under the mask.
The mask is in good condition with slight traces of tribal use.
