Stylistic wooden maternity figure from the Luba people of DR Congo. This serene Luba figure epitomizes the art and mystery that carvers from this tribe have imbued in their sculpture. They quiet power of the figure elicits the respect that the tribe owed to their ancestors.. Good condition with an old aged patina. The female figure is carying 2 baby figures around her lap.
