Description

Bronze panel from the region of Benin. These kind of plaques were placed on the walls of the palace of the king, they refer to juridical ceremonies. This panel in particular refers to the Oba King together with two Patron Saints. Very beautiful and finely detailed. The panel is cast in relief using the lost wax method. This makes this panel unique in its kind.
Condition: good with a beautiful patina of old age.
