Authentic Songye power figure from DR Congo. Stylistic wooden ancestor figure with 2 faces of the SONGYE tribe from D.R. Congo.
It served to protect the family against diseases, accidents, bad spirits and bewitchment. Large pieces  where even used to protect whole villages.
Good condition with a beautiful aged patina.
