Miniature shoulder mask from the BAGA NIMBA people of Guinea. Shoulder masks were used during joyful ceremonies such as weddings and harvest festivals. The wearer of the mask had a raffia costume and performed dances while surrounded by villagers.
This shoulder mask has a large pair of breasts, a typical extra enlarged head with semicircular ears, a pointed chin and nose.
Good condition with traces of tribal use.
