Tellem figure – Wood – Dogon – Mali

Great wooden Tellem figure from the Dogon tribe from Mali. The Tellem are known for their abstract images with outstretched arms. This was seen as a sign for a plea for rain. This is a particularly appealing image, with the typical outstretched arms in the air.
Good condition with a beautiful aged patina.
