Very pretty loom pulley stirrup from the Bakongo people of DR Congo. Made of wood with a brown patina, it is topped with two human figures who holding each others back. This stirrup was intended to hang the ropes of the horizontal type loom at the level of the pulley.
Good condition with traces of wear and tear. Provenance: former private collection from Germany.
