In addition to their statues and masks, the Luba also adorned everyday objects with human figures. For instance, calabashes containing pigments were adorned and used by diviners.
Fine detailed kalebas with a great aged patina. Contains traces of wear and tear and a crack in the calabash.
Provenance: former private collection from the Netherlands.
