About this object

Superb dance mask, from the BAULE people of Ivory Coast. The mask is carved in one piece of wood. The item present a very fine shape, with scarification's on the face in overall rustic style. Great dark painted patina, with shades of colors. Good condition with a nice aged patina with traces of wear and tear. On top of the mask ther is a sitting ancestor figure.
