Unique Yombe ancestor figure holding a rifle from DR Congo. The ancestor figure has a great patina of use. The eyes are made from glass and the bottom part is coverd with iron.
The 300,000 YOMBE people are artistically prolific.
This superb example of Kongo sculpture shows the emphasis given to the head and detailed body.
Good condition with traces of tribal use and a beautiful aged patina.
