Old whistle from the Sao / Kotoko tribe from Chad.
Stylistic bronze equestrian figure on top of the whistle.
These figures were crafted in Chad, following the cire perdue (lost wax) technique.
Horses riders have a high social rank in Chad. They symbolise wealth and power.
Good condition with a nice patina. The whistle still makes a good sound.
